I am in hopes that the signs of spring are for real. The weather is warm and the snow in the ditches are gone but it still lingers in the back of my mind, snow storms the end of March in years gone by. Robins are back along with the geese flying north and the small birds are fighting for the bird house on the porch already. Tulip and daffodil leaves are near 8 inches high and signs of buds on the daffodils.
Well I'll take the days as they come. The fresh smell of spring is intoxicating. Makes me want to get out the flower garden tools and put the furniture on the deck and front porch. I'll stop at putting up the decorative bird houses up by the back door for now. I did go and purchase a pink blossom shamrock today, though. My mom says that my Grandma Matilda had that kind. Heres hoping I keep it alive.

Spring,,,,,
Yes I think Spring is coming soon. Tulip and daffodil leaves are poking through the dirt. Been checking the forsythia to see if the buds are swelling so I can bring a branch inside to force the blossoms. Crazy weather 40s to 65, sunny to cloudy. windy to calm and some sprinkles thrown in for extra measure.
Mixed up some chocolate bars for mom today. Hummmmmmmmmm sure were tasty.
Made great headway today on Sarah and Jays quilt. Finished 12 log cabin blocks. Have read and reread the steps for the evergreen tree blocks and will attempt them tomorrow. Need 20 of the tree blocks so I may have to check the fabric stash for some more greens.
Long day, checking out for now.
